Meet Christian.

A few years ago I was reading the paper and came across a big ad asking for donations for this little boy to have heart surgery. I think maybe it was for a garage sale if I’m remembering right. I had never met him before but I did recognize his Dad’s name because I went to school with him. We didn’t have the money at the time to donate anything so I cut his picture out of the paper and hung it on my fridge. I prayed for him every time I went to the fridge. I don’t remember when that was exactly but I didn’t take it down until we moved into our new house (which was just about a month ago)…. And do you know what? I got to meet him and photograph his precious family last Saturday. It was such a joy to see him playing around with his brother, dancing for me and holding his baby sister’s hand. I wanted to tell him and his parents right then, “I know you. I have been praying for you for years.” But I was so afraid that I might bust out in tears that I didn’t. (Because yes, I have done that before! lol..) So here I am telling you now, Sarah and Juan, I have been praying for Christian all this time. It was such a blessing to me to get to see him and spend a little time with you all. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with me :)

Our God is faithful. kjae

  1. Kilah, after reading this you brought big ole tears from my eyes and i had to wake sarah up to read these kinds words you wrote. Plus the pictures of course, haha, but i really do appreciate your words about Christian. He is an inspiration and a motivator for why get up every morning and do what i do. I love him and my other kiddos so much and i thank the ALMIGHTY GOD for blessing me with them. And for giving me this great woman named Sarah! Thank you again for doing these awesome pics and also the blog. I will say an extra prayer for you thanking HIM for people just like you! Juan~

  2. Our family went through the same thing with Sebastian and I can honestly say without prayer, we wouldn’t have gotten through everything! One Prayer can go a long way! Your pictures are great and I don’t know this family but I’m glad their son is doing better! :)
